For 10 years, I toured the world as a musician, playing drums for various artists across Europe, China, The United States & Canada. I’ve worked for Disney, shared the stage with Elton John and my drumming even appeared in a Victoria’s Secret commercial in The States and a Vodafone commercial in Europe. I've appeared live on Scottish television, BBC TV, BBC radio and at various music festivals across the world. In the studio, I've worked with producers such as Matty Benbrook (Faithless), Steve Chrisanthau (Corrine Bailey Rae), Alex James (Blur) and David Kosten ( Coldplay, REM). Aside from playing drums for other artists, I won the Nairn Book Festival songwriter competition in Scotland in 2014 and released my first E.P of original material in the summer of 2017. I'm currently working on my first collection of poetry as well as performing regularly in the Nashville spoken word scene.
I grew up in Scotland, moved to NYC in late 2014. I put my music career on hold in New York and worked for a tech startup called Concert Window. It was here my passion for digital product design, brand strategy was born. We graduated from the prestigious TechStars accelerator program, got to work with the likes of Seth Godin and helped hundreds of musicians along the way. During my time at Concert Window, I conceived the worlds first fully online music festivals as a way for us to grow and engage our user base, rebranded our mobile app and helped the company triple their monthly revenue in less than a year.
When I moved to Nashville, I worked at redpepper, a creative agency for almost two years. Here I helped craft engaging stories that helped clients entertain their existing audience as well as reach new consumers. I’ve helped run design thinking workshops that have brought fresh ideas into the world and saw technology solutions solve real consumer problems. In 2017 I took part in the Adobe design jam in Nashville and came first place in both the critics choice category and fan favorite category for a 3-hour iOS app design challenge
I started working at Asurion in 2018 and oversaw a year-long project that created a bespoke complaints management system, I helped deliver Verizon's nationwide Same Day Delivery and Setup program, wrote and designed email campaigns for AT&T that saw us bring in over 1 million new customers and helped build the Research & Strategic Insights team.
I’m passionate about big ideas, creative problem solving and how all these elements can be woven together to create an enjoyable experience for the end user.
